But when it comes to maternity clothes, I am all about being as practical as possible. Who knows if I will ever be pregnant again, and I don't want to waste a bunch of money on things that I can only wear for a short window. So it's the basics: a pair of skinny jeans, a couple pairs of shorts, some T-shirts, one nice dress to wear to the THREE weddings we've got coming up in the next two months or so. And even if I wanted to buy fancy and ultra-stylish maternity clothes, the options are fairly limited. ASOS has some cute stuff, and I'm sure some of the flash-sale sites do as well, but everything marked as "maternity" gets marked up to where it becomes impractical for me to buy any of it.
So for now I will just indulge in a little fantasy shopping and hope that post-bebe I'm able to drop the baby weight and start buying cute clothes again. Here's what I'd be buying if I wasn't sporting a bump this fall.
Fall 2012 Style by mrsmouse featuring a long cardigan
I'm really into burgundy and red for this fall. And these are basically what my "staples" would be if I were one of those people who spent a couple grand each fall on buying new staples. I'm not. Never have been and probably never will be. But a girl can dream. If I do buy any of this stuff post-bebe, it will definitely be some boyfriend jeans and a slouchy burgundy cardi. I LOVE the gray ankle boots, but I'll most likely keep wearing my Esprit ankle boots that I bought last year in London. They were pricey, but I wear them all the time. Maybe the best shoe purchase I've ever made.
What trends are you loving for fall?
